 1.       Subscriptions are due on 1st April each year for cricket, Short Mat Bowls, Squash, Tennis, General Activities and all Junior Members.  Subscriptions for Hockey and Table Tennis are due on 1st September.  Playing Members Primary Subscriptions are due at the same date as their Section Subscriptions – the Primary Subscription is due on 1st April if a Member has Section Subscriptions due on both dates.  A Registration Fee is payable by all applicants except Juniors on joining or re-joining the Club.

 2.       The Club collects subscriptions by Direct Debit.  Applicants are required to complete a Direct Debit Mandate copies of which are obtainable from Reception.

 3.       The Club’s membership records are held on computer and used for the collection of subscriptions and for the distribution of Club information to Members.  The data is otherwise used solely for internal Club purposes.  In order for the Club to be exempt from the Data Protection Act, each Member has to be given the opportunity to object to the retention and use of their personal data in this way.

 4.       The Club buys a considerable volume of goods and services in the course of running its business and would prefer to do business with Members where possible.  If you are able to help the Club through your own particular trade, profession or skill or able to supply goods or services at favourable rates or are willing to give some time to assist in the running of the Club, please indicate below.

 5.       An applicant’s Proposer and Seconder must have been adult Members of the Club for at least 3 years and should have known the applicant for at least a year.  Applicants not having a Proposer and Seconder who satisfy these conditions should mention this when making their application and representatives of the appropriate Section Committee will meet them and introduce them to the Club.

 *Intermediate Members who are in full time education at school or at college/university which requires them to live away from home and outside a 40 mile radius from the Club may apply to pay a reduced subscription.  This reduced subscription is the same as Junior Membership rates and applies only while the Member remains in full time education.  It must be applied for each year. 

**Playing Membership subscription rates are reduced by £15.00 if the subscription is paid by Direct Debit (see PAYMENT OF SUBSCRIPTIONS below) or, upon renewal, is received by the Club IN FULL within 30 days of the due date.  This prompt payment discount does NOT apply to a new Member’s first subscription payment.  

*** Short Mat Bowls subscriptions may be paid quarterly or annually.  The above subscription rate is for a Member’s first weekly session.  The subscription for each additional session is £96.00 (£24.00 per quarter).  These rates apply to all Short Mat Bowls Members irrespective of other sports played.

 PAYMENT OF SUBSCRIPTIONS 

The Club collects subscriptions by Direct Debit.  A completed Direct Debit Mandate (copies of which are available from Reception) should be sent with your Membership Application Form.  Members (or families) paying annual subscriptions totalling more than £120.00 through one Direct Debit arrangement can opt to pay in 5 monthly instalments.  These will normally be collected in the first week of April, May, June, July and August for subscriptions due on 1st April and the first week of September, October, November, December and January for subscriptions due on 1st September.  If an application is not received in time for the Subscription and Registration Fee to be collected at these times the amount due will be collected as soon as possible after the Bank has processed the Direct Debit Mandate.  In exceptional circumstances, subscriptions may be paid by cash or cheque but THE SUBSCRIPTION MUST BE PAID IN FULL WITHIN ONE CALENDAR MONTH OF THE DUE DATE.

On receipt of your application a letter will be sent to you advising you of the Section Representative who will be making contact with you.
